Our customer met with security consultant Guy Evelyn in May 2014 as they wanted a solution to the problems with their current alarm system.
The customer lives just out of Hamilton in a house built just 5 years ago. An alarm was installed as part of the house build and had never really operated in a way that gave them any confidence.
Every time they went away for a weekend the alarm would activate which would result in their trip being cut short as they would return home to find a false alarm. The original alarm installers attended there home on numerous occasions and could not find any issue with the system.
Eventually the customer lost confidence in the alarm as it was disturbing the neighbours and stopped using it altogether. Their new home was no longer secure!
After a full consultation and investigation by Guy we decided in this instance to not only replace the entire alarm system but also the cabling which was originally pre wired during the building process which ensured no more false alerts would happen.
So in June 2014 a new Bosch Ultima 880 home security system with 2 keypads and 7 pet sensors was installed in the home in just over 4 hours by two of our installers aided by the insightful eye of the customer who helped speed up the process with the intimate knowledge of their own home.
The new cabling was a complicated due to the size of the house and the slightly higher than normal ceilings. Also because of the size of the house, our installer had to contend with insulation, enormous amounts of cables from other accessories and the ducting from the ventilation system.
Once the cabling was finished and the alarm operating correctly we suggested the addition of a remote kit so the customer could set/unset their alarm from their vehicle as well as open/close the garage door from the same device. Text monitoring was also added as they had self-monitored their previous alarm.
The customer is over the moon! They are very pleased that they now have a reliable home alarm system and can travel away from home with the confidence that they won’t receive false alerts.
