Security consultant Glen Frost met with a Waikato farm owner in May that had just been the victim of a burglary that resulted in the loss of a television, quad bike, farm tools and a vehicle.
The farm house is a relatively new two story building with a connected garage that sits down the end of a four hundred meter long driveway so that the burglars could plunder the property unseen once the owners were not home.
The home has a lot of large glass windows that ensure a beautiful view over the property so Glen had to ensure he included the correct number of PIR sensors to cover the full perimeter of the house so that no window once broken would allow entry into the house without detection.
The solution was a Risco wireless alarm system with a total of five sensors and a wireless external siren.
The quote was accepted by the customer and the wireless security alarm system was installed only a few days later by our technicians in just two hours as wireless systems are quicker to install as they don’t require time and money wiring the property.
Sterling Security signs at the front gate completed the install and the alarm system is monitored by our local Waikato alarm monitoring centre so that the customer can be quickly alerted if the burglars return and either return to their home or have our security guards attend for them.
The customer was happy with the security solution and the time it took to get everything installed.
The next step for this customer is to install gate beams so that entry via the front gates becomes one more sensor potential burglars can activate to alert the home owner.
