CCTV Safety System for 52 Foot Big Boat

We recently worked on quite a different home away from home in Tauranga. The owner of a 52-foot big boat contacted us as he was interested in setting up a CCTV system to use for safety purposes on his boat when he is at sea.

Simon met with the boat owner to learn all about his requirements which were:

1/ The screen must pivot from the cabin area to the captain’s cockpit for view in both areas

2/ Must be able to view the engine room for smoke /flooding/fire or mechanical issues

3/ Be able to view the rear of the boat

To meet these requirements, we offered the following solution:

1 x HDMI SCREEN

1 x Uni View 8 Channel NVR Recorder

2 x Uni View 2MP Camera

1 x Lever screen mount

1 x Installation

The quote was accepted by the boat owner and installation began one week later taking our two technicians Simon and kelish 9.5 hours to complete.

Working on a beautiful boat like this meant a few different challenges to a home installation including dealing with multi volt systems which are in 12, 24 and 48 volt configurations. We had to install voltage regulators for the new equipment that connects into the boats electrical system. Space is limited on a boat so equipment also needs to be tightly tucked away as much as possible.

Once we had finished the work the boat owner was very happy with the workmanship and finished product.
